Pithie, built the walls.\u00a0 When the cornerstone was laid, a box was laid into the cornerstone and MCM (1900) chiseled onto it.\u00a0 The owner\u2019s wife struck the stone with a mallet, declaring that it was well and truly laid.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;3.0.91&#8243; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The two large arched windows were of French plate glass with an open arched entrance between them. \u00a0Inside to the left was the <em>Star<\/em> office of W.A. Mackinder.\u00a0 The post office, with F.B.
